Remote GVAR antenna software is used when it is not possible to locate your GOES-GVAR antenna within normal cable range of your GOES-GVAR data acquisition and display system due to local RF interference, city planning codes or other obstacles.
This software makes it possible to locate your GOES-GVAR antenna at a remote location, where the raw data is acquired and then transmitted in real-time via the Internet to your primary display system.
Typically, a T1 Internet connection is required between the remote antenna system and the primary display system.
For reduced bandwidth applications, it is possible to individually select which particular GOES-GVAR channels (IR2, IR4, IR5, IR6, Water Vapor, Visible, Sounder) are transmitted. A full T1 circuit can support all channels (except Sounder) from both GOES-EAST and GOES-WEST simultaneously.
Marta Systems also makes the data feed available from our antennas to those who are unable to locate an antenna system on their own premises.
